Best Of June 2011 - News & Featured ReleasesView Our Best Of June 2011 Chart

June, you've spoilt us!  Some of our best buddies in this music world have released new records this month, and albums from Frank Turner, Set Your Goals, The Swellers, The Wonder Years and Tellison were always gonna be in the best of the month!  Its nice that for all of these bands we're carrying UK exclusive variations on the releases.  But there's plenty more to have come in with notable returns from Bon Iver and Tom Vek and Mike's picked the modern disco of the Tiger & Woods album

Another strong month for the shows and events we've put on in Kingston.  Starting the month with a beautiful instore from Pete And The Pirates and we brought the month to a close with an anything but beautiful dubstep night at The Hippodrome with Doctor P, 16bit and Breakage.  Along the way we had a notable instore from UK hip hop legend Jehst, were wowed again by the magnificient Tall Ships (who would have had single of the month if there was such an award here) and the highlight of New Slang for June was probably from Metronomy as they stopped off here for a Glastonbury warm up.
